It’s wedding central around here at the moment. Over the weekend we attended our friends wedding in Bristol, and this is my OOTD. Unintentionally, I chose to look like a wedding mermaid. So many people at the wedding, who I didn’t know commented on how I looked like a mermaid. Obviously I was chuffed with this, the mermaid is becoming of me.
After the cray cray couple of weeks we have just had, the wedding snuck up on me somewhat. I had nothing to wear and unwashed hair. When I woke up on Saturday morning, I was in a bit of a panic as to what I was going to throw together, as I was totally unprepared. I raided my wardrobe and found this skirt, which I got ages a go from a carboot I think, and I’ve never worn it. The weather forecast was rain all day too, so I needed to find something appropriate.
I don’t really own many wedding outfits, as you know, I usually air on the side of casual. I’m in need of some new dresses really. Anyway, I decided on the skirt and was looking for a top that wasn’t a basic t-shirt. Although it was due to rain, I knew it would still be pretty humid, so I didn’t want anything too tight fitting and clingy. I found this crushed silk style top from Primark in the bottom of my closet. It just so happened to match perfectly with my hair and decided that was the winning combination.
I threw on a pair of boots which I know to be comfortable, with gold hard wear on the buckles. Teamed it with a black statement necklace, also with hints of gold and a gold and black leather ‘LOVE’ bracelet to finish the look. I also chucked my hair up in this bun as I hadn’t had time to wash it, but I think it’s a pretty classy look for me!
