On Friday me and Puggy jumped in the car and popped over to Montpelier. Montpellier is an area of Bristol known for it’s colourful and quirky streets. I wanted to spend the afternoon out of the house taking photos for my new colour collection. The world can be so beige some times, especially this time of year. Once of my missions this year, is to live by my strap line “Splashing colour all over your life”. I want to add more colour in to everything (well some areas have enough colour, if anything I am toning down my clothes!) my food, my photos, my home.
Aside from the general wondering around taking photos of my surroundings, whilst I was there, I wanted to revisit the rainbow bridge. Over two years ago now, I had my first “photoshoot” on that bridge. Sadly (?) all the photos from the blog post have been lost in interspace. I loved the photos at the time, but looking back (I still have private copies!) they were so amateur in every way. Since challenging myself to take my blog photos in general to the next level, and trying to get more confident with my location choice for outfit posts, I have been wanting to get back to the rainbow bridge!
Distracted by doing the job in hand, showing off what I wore, I actually forgot to take any stills of the bridge itself so I am sure I will be going back to add more photos to my new range of colour collection products. Enough about the bridge, back to me (!). I have to admit I feeling totally uninspired with my wardrobe. I desperately want to go shopping but I am currently on a spend ban, so I am trying to dig out older items that I haven’t worn in a while. A purple skater skirt, from Dorothy Perkins originally, I got it from a charity shop and it could clearly do with an iron! I wore my vintage style rolling stones t shirt and MY FAV CARDIGAN EVER! It’s the first time this season the cardi has come out and I love it just as much as last year. My grandma got me this for christmas 2013 and I lived in it last winter. I teamed it with my new Crown and Glory marabou feather crown (new for 2015), my doe eyed deer from Punky Pins and my Dr Martens.
