Today, I am totally clueless, or at least, thats what I feel like in this outfit post. As soon as I saw this jumper in H&M over the weekend, I immediately imagined it with my new love for high waisted “mom” jeans. Whilst I was up in Northampton staying with my bestie, we popped to Milton Keynes to drop off her pooch, Harley, for a cut and blow dry at the groomers. Whilst he was in there, we had a couple of hours to kill so we (naturally) decided to do some shopping.
I was quite looking forward to visiting old “milk n beans” (the ‘locals’ nickname for MK) since I haven’t been there for so many years. I’m sure it’s probably not even that big (now that I am a big girl) but as a kid I remember the MK shopping centre being huge! My mum would only ever drive there at Christmas time because she always got lost and hated taking us kids around. But instead of going to main, huge, get-lost-for-days, shopping centre, as we only had two hours, we decided to pop to the retail park instead. That had all we needed any way, with a Topshop, H&M, Primark and River Island amongst others.
I wasn’t supposed to be shopping really, but first stop was H&M, I found this jumper in the sale and as soon as I saw it, I know it had to be mine. I was so pleased when I got to the till and discovered instead of the advertised £5 sale price, it was actually £2.99. #winning
I was also really chuffed about finding this denim collar in River Island. I had seen one in a magazine ages ago and made a mental note to buy one if I ever saw it. It’s basically just the top half of a shirt, without the sleeves or body. I have always loved wearing collars under jumpers, but I just get too hot and sticky with too many layers on, and sometimes a shirt can be quite bulky under a delicate jumper. So this collar is the perfect accessory.
