I know if your reading this, you too, believe that mermaids are real, and I am sure you will want to tell the world. I have designed these awesome statement tshirts and iPhone cases, that are EXCLUSIVE for a limited time only. Why? I hear you ask, well they’re a reward for you if you invest in my business, Fishee Designs Photo Booth. To get your hands on one of these (there’s only a limited number available so you better get in quick if you want one!) you just have to go to my crowdfunding project and pledge for which ever option you want. Tshirts are £25 and iPhone cases are £30. Once the project ends at the end of March all those that have pledged will receive their mermaid goodies by first class delivery. THEY ALSO COME WITH A POT OF GLITTER!!
There are also lots of other rewards on offer but I thought you would appreciate these the most, you glitter and mermaid fans you!
As you can see, today I am trying jeans for the first time in quite a while! My body shape is naturally curvy and my large thighs are a family trait all the women in my family have been “blessed” with. Whilst Kim Kardashian may be rocking that booty, I am still finding the confidence to promote mine. Skirts have always been my thing, they show off my small waist and hide everything from there, down! Whilst I was in Primark t’other day, I picked up three pairs of the high waisted skinny jeggings in an attempt to get my legs on show. I am still not 100% but I am please with how slim my waist looks!
I don’t think it is any surprise that I am a bit of a ring obsessive, especially the silver kind. I love independent boutique designers of jewellery as I think you can get something a bit more quirky and unique. So when Jewel Street got in touch and asked if I would like to chose one from their website to support their boutique designers, I was so excited. They have some gorgeous designs throughout the website, it was really hard to chose but I have wanted a stack ’em ring for ages and this Frozen one by Alison Moore was just beautiful.
In other news, how amazing is this wall! Not only did I expose my thighs in the skinniest of jeans, I actually braved the public and headed down to my fav colourful streets of Totterdown to shoot these photos. In truth, I hid behind a rather large van so I was semi shielded, but I need to build my confidence some how. It wasn’t that bad really, I got a few strange looks from a couple of men that drove past, but I just strange looked them right back.
I had to stick a hat on today because my hair is a MESS!!! I a so excited, my friend Jack (the pro hairdresser) is coming over tonight for a home visit to sort the barnet out. I have been in hair crisis for some weeks now and I am looking forward to a bit of a change, and a trim! I won’t ruin the surprise but watch this space!
Good Afternoon lovers! How was your weekend? Did you have a productive one? Or maybe a productively lazy? lol. I decided after a few busy weeks to take some time out for myself on Saturday. I got up, got shower and dressed (shock horror, yup that actually happened!) and headed to Cabot Circus to go and indulge in some retail therapy. It’s been sooooooooo long since I last went shopping (apart from the necessary food shops!) and it was definitely needed. I had planned to go to Boots and invest in some new make up, and then to Primark for some clothes. But I went straight to Primark, and then my bank balance was in shock a little and decided I had better just go home and let it recover somewhat! You can see my huge haul here:
I spent the rest of the afternoon in a bubble of youtube videos, one after the other. I filmed three in total and naturally my Primark one came first so I could get it all out the bag and try everything on. I won’t spoil the others for you, you will have to wait to find out what they are. Have you subscribed to my channel to keep up to date?
If you follow my social media, you *may* have seen me tweeting about the crowdfunding project that went live over the weekend? I have set the project up for my business Fishee Designs Photo Booth, to grow the business further. It’s been an amazing couple of years but there’s so much more I want to do with it so if you can help by investing or sharing the project on your social media, that would be great. You can read more about the project here.
In advance of this all going through, I have pulled in some help from my lovely other half, Brad. Who spent the entire day on Sunday out in his work shop updating the aesthetics of the booth. I wanted to make it smaller, more condensed and just all round better. He told me to leave him to it (so he could listen to talk sport and have no distractions!) so I did a bit of shopping at The Range in the morning, and hunted high and low for some new curtains for our bedroom to give it a little update. Finally after looking in about five places, I found the perfect set in Home Bargains of all places, and they were indeed, a bargain!
I decorated the one wall that Brad has been hanging on too, insisting he liked the wallpaper, but enough was enough. The rest of the room had been updated so much the dusky teal and gold print wallpaper no longer fitted with my white and colour popping bedroom styling so I painted it! My bedroom is still not exactly how I want it but it’s a work in progress and each time I update it I love it a little bit more!
Today is an exciting day for sure, it’s the day I filmed my video for the exciting crowdfunding project that I am launching on Monday for my business, Fishee Designs Photo Booth. I have had this crowdfunding project in the pipeline for some weeks now, since I met with Fund Surfer and today I sat down with Grant from Rhubarb Martini, who has very kindly helped me film the video. And this is what I wore, I thought I would show off the three things that makes me stand out from all the other photo booth companies out there, I am pink tattooed and awesome!!
You will hear more about the project on Monday but the reason for the required investment is so that I can make the photo booth the best it can possibly be in terms of it’s aesthetics, technicality and logistics. There will be lots of fun rewards in return for your investment including me turning up as your place of work dressed as a unicorn spreading glitter and marshmallows to all your staff (that’s worth the investment right?!). The video will be up on my You Tube channel on Friday all being well, if you can give it a watch to find out more and if you like the sound of it, please give it a like and share with as many people as you know, I would really appreciate it.
What I Wore:
Tattoo and Awesome Vest: Bought last summer, I can’t remember for the life of me where it was from, if you sold me this feel free to own up!
Good Morning lovers! Cor does it have to be Monday already?! I really did not want this weekend to end. It’s not often that Brad and I fully make the most of an entire weekend but this weekend we actually spent some proper quality time together. Usually Brad works on a Saturday morning and plays football in the afternoon, so I am usually left to my own devices and we just get a Sunday together. However this weekend both his work and football was cancelled due to the weather, so we went for breakfast and a nice walk with the dogs in the morning. We spent some time clearing up the house together (oh so romantic!!) before I spent the afternoon pampering myself ready for our valentines night out.
I mentioned before, I am not usually one for getting sucked in to the marketing hype of Valentines day, but this year it was a welcome reminder to get out the house and make the most of each other. Being self employed, we are both guilty of being consumed by our own work and not making enough time for each other. We enjoyed a lovely meal (courtesy of M&S Valentines dine for £20) and some bubbly before we got dolled up, to head in to town for a few drinks and to watch the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but I have mixed feelings on it, I really thought they rushed to get to the sexy time and it was all over too quickly. We still had a good night though and enjoyed a couple of drinks after the film too.
I have lots on the to do list this week on account of the meeting I had with Fundsurfer on Friday. I will be launching a crowdfunding project soon to generate some growth funding for my photo booth, I am really excited about lots of new opportunities opening up for the business so I have lots to work on for that this week. What have you got planned for the week ahead? Are you feeling good about it? Why not Tweet: @mermaidgossip and let me know I would love to know what you’re getting up to and whether you had a good valentines weekend?
