Awwweee we are so close to being finished creating our perfectly pretty summer garden!! So Close. With such lovely weather over the bank holiday weekend, we were so typically british and head straight down to BnQ to stock up on plants. For me it was the last basic thing missing before I felt like I could show it off. What’s a summer garden with out any summer flowers!!?

There’s still a bit that we want to do over time, ie, build some more planters for more herbs, finish the brick patio area and eventually we want to build an extension on the back of the house and paint the back of the house too. It’s by no means perfect OR finished, but these things are an evolutionary process and I’m sure this won’t be the last post you see.

We didn’t go too mad on the plants, we got a few brightly coloured ones for my #girlshed belfast sink planters, a few grasses that will (hopefully) be quite happy growing in a mostly shaded area, along with a large date palm which may get moved around a bit depending on his mood!

Brad also put a few lights along the wall and painted the fence, which although he used a more subtle blue that he had redundant in the garage, looks really smart and is a nice contrast to all my choice of bright beach blue!

I really love it already, but mostly I just love having a project to work on. Especially when I can spend time with Brad doing it, I think we’re at our best when we work (independently) together!

I was vlogging the weekend so, you can check out our trip to BnQ and also see me working hard planting up my new plants in my vlogossip!
