Last week was my best friends wedding, and she literally could not have chosen a better bridesmaid outfit for me! I was a tad worried in the beginning that she’d out us all in one of those hideous traditional bridesmaid dresses, but after much pinteresting, instead she decided to go for a skirt and top combo.

I put her in touch with Louise at Oh My Honey, who I have known via the wedding industry (because of the photo booth) for a couple of years now. Louise makes beautiful wedding dresses and is a fantastic seamstress. Fenner gave her the photo of inspiration and with minimal two-ing and fro-ing to chose the right fabric, Louise produced the most perfect full circle midi skirts.

Now the tops, on the other hand, were not as easy. We were planning our outfits back in summer. We knew we wanted some sort of silver sequin or sparkles but could we find any during summer?! No. It was just a few weeks back, after trying a few options and getting a little worried, we found this one from Coast, which was slightly (actually, WAY) over budget but it was perfect and totally made to go with the skirts.

I may have slightly embellished the outfit with a flower crown, and obviously with all the bridesmaid duties, I didn’t have time to sneak off and shoot outfit photos on the big day so I have recreated the look. Although, on the big day, we had our hair done by the lovely Lucie King at Daniel Granger’s salon, which I could not recreate today, and I still haven’t brushed my hair since – I’m scared! I did also walk down the aisle in some actual heels but they came off after the ceremony in favour of these silver kicks! Also, you can see how we did the nails here.

If you’d like to see a little glimpse of the big day, I made a video (obvs!) and I wish I had spent more time filming in hindsight to get some better clips, but I did have duties to attend to! I can not wait to see marriane’s photos of the big day!
