Hey gorgeous, how’s your weekend been? I have had a lovely chilled out weekend. I barely moved from the sofa all day on Saturday, aside from a local walk with the dogs. I spent the entire day on the sofa with Geordie Shore marathon on in the background while I worked on an exciting new project for the blog on my laptop. I have been wanting to “do something” with my photography and design for a long time. Although I set up a Society 6 shop a couple of months ago, I felt it was a little separated from my own website and I have been looking at ways to embed my shop with my blog website, in addition to being able to sell my own designs as digital downloads, all from the same place.
So Friday night and ALL of Saturday (so rock n roll) I spent finally figuring out how to do this. I spent so much time with my head in code and also producing some initial designs to add to the shop. Designing is one of my favourite parts of my “job” and I am so thrilled to be able to finally share that with you. It took me a while to get the new shop looking as I wanted but I got there in the end, what do you think?
As usual Sunday is Funday and Brad and I’s day together. It was also Mother’s Day but both of our mums were away abroad, so we took a trip down to near Weston Super Mare to see his nan. We popped in for a coffee and a catch up before heading to Sand Bay for a blustery walk with the dogs. Although Sand Bay isn’t the nicest beach, as beaches go (I have been spoilt living three years in Bournemouth though) it’s still so nice to have a beach within an hour from home, and somewhere we can enjoy walking the dogs.
We popped in to The Cottage for a pint and some infamous onion rings (best onion rings EVER!) on the way home and decided to continue the drinks back at our new local pub just up the road from, The Knowle Hotel. Again, it isn’t the most desirable pub, it’s very much stuck in the 80s but we have a great local community all supporting the pub in an aid to stop it closing or being turned in to a Tesco or flats. It’s very underused and it’s great to meet some new local friends and drinking buddies. We finished the evening of with a lovely chicken stew and dumplings and falling asleep on the sofa. That’s how Sunday’s should be eh!?
I hope you had a good one, and have a great week ahead planned!
Lots of love xx
