Good Afternoon lovers! How was your weekend? What have you been up to? We had such a lovely day road tripping to Bournemouth yesterday. It was my brothers 25th birthday and they were down staying with my mum for the weekend so we decided to join them for the day. We arrived about midday and went straight to Hengustbury Head to let the dogs stretch their legs and have a quick game of fetch. Logan is getting so good with it now and has almost a 90% return rate with the ball which is a huge improvement in his training.
We then headed to the restaurant to meet James and Sophie, Mum and Reg and Grandma, for lunch. It was just a Beefeater restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised and had a lovely rack of ribs and we all had a good old catch up and enjoyed some good food. I always enjoy both my brothers company so much and I wish I could spend more time with them, it was a shame David couldn’t make it yesterday. So in an attempt to rectify this, we decided to plan a trip to France for May some time! It’s rare that we spend the week together unless it’s over Christmas, and I haven’t been abroad with them since I was about fourteen, so I am so excited to enjoy a week with them soon. Just need to sort my passport out now!
After dinner we went down to Mudeford Quay and had a lovely walk with the dogs as the sun was going down. It was such a beautiful sunset and the tide was the furthest I’d ever seen it out down there. The dogs had a lovely run around on the sand and found some furry friends to play with. It’s evenings like that, that make me miss the beach so much. If we lived closer I have no doubt we would walk along the beach most evenings. But you can’t have the best of both worlds, I do love coming home to Bristol with my boys. Spending a day away with them makes me so thankful for being so lucky to have such a wonderful Brad and my two gorgeous pooches.
