Every month (usually the first Sunday of the month) during the summer, Bristol puts on a Make Sunday Special event. This month saw it hit North Street in Bedminster, you can check out where it’s heading next here. The event see’s the main roads closed off for the day, with lots of fun activities that take place for the kids, pop up bars from the local business to entertain the adults and lots of fun games and music in between.
“MAKE SUNDAY SPECIAL”
I’ve been wanting to take a wander around Bedminster since I missed Upfest, and I wanted to check out all the new graffiti. North Street is probably one of my fav places to go for food too, so when Brad got home from football mid afternoon yesterday, it seemed like the perfect place to head to for a bite to eat.
I always love taking photos of colour, and I reckon bedminster is one of the most colourful places in Bristol. Teamed with blue skies and the buzz of people enjoying the road closure, it was a lovely afternoon. I think it’s such a good idea to close the streets to cars once a month, if anything, I think it would be good to do every weekend. There were so many people out to play, families, couples, young and old, all enjoying the local businesses and added entertainment. This is what makes Bristol special!
