Woahhhh!!! Isn’t it roasting today!? Are you all set for this heat wave? I’m not sure I am, I have such a busy week ahead that I’m desperately trying to plough through my to do list and move a few things around to try and make the most of it. It’s times like today that I wish our swimming/large paddling “fast set” pool was still up. I put it up a few weeks back a little prematurely, and rather spontaneously on one rather warm day in March. It took so long to fill up that the sun had gone down and it was cold by the time it was ready to get in. Then we didn’t get a chance to use it and it sat there and went green, before Brad made me take it down and clean it out. Today would be the perfect day to jump in the pool. It’s days like these that make me miss living a stones throw from the beach, when I could just drop everything and head down to the white sands of Bournemouth.
I really wish Brad would make me a permanent pool in our garden. I did try and suggest it before we put the grass down, but he was having none of it, unsurprisingly. I’m tempted to start filling the “fast set” up so that it’s ready for Thursday when I know I am home. I have a photo booth booking in Oxford tonight with my new Tropical themed booth (I can’t wait to show you the photos of that!) which I have had to finalise this morning and now I’m sat in the girl shed, working on blogs for the week before I’m in and out with meetings and appointments tomorrow. But, if I fill the pool up this afternoon then it will be here for the hottest day of the year tomorrow and I will be able to dip in and out of it in between rushing around like a headless chicken!
In the absence of my own swimming pool today, my hefty to do list and temperatures worth melting for, quite frankly I don’t have time or the inclination to get dressed today. I wan’t to be as naked as possible so I thought I’d share with you some photos from when I filmed my Lookbook last year at Portishead Lido. I loved that day, and I wish the lido was in my back garden. It’s a little piece of paradise in the west country. I was tempted to pop down today but I thought everyone else would have had the same idea too, and work calls, so it’s a good job we have created a paradise of our own in the back garden.
