I have had such a lovely weekend exploring Bristol, I wanted to share it with you. I do love it when we get out and about in Bristol of a weekend and I get to take photos of new exciting things!
My brother and girlfriend came to stay this weekend and they love to explore Bristol too. On Saturday, we got washed out of the carboot after only half an hour, we still managed to find a couple of bargains before we ran back to the car for cover from the storm. In a hunt for something we could do without getting soaked, we went to the Jolly Sailor in Saltford for lunch and a beer and sheltered from the rain with a view of the weir.
On Sunday, we went to my FAV place for brunch in Bristol, Spoke and Stringer, I could literally eat their breakfast errrrrday!! If you haven’t tried it yet and you’re Bristol based then you NEED to get down there! Avocados and eggs all the way!! To walk of our rather large brunch we went up to the Clifton Observatory, which I’ve never been to before.
You can see for miles and it was a fun and affordable thing to do on a partially rainy day. The boys wanted coffee and cake so we took a wonder around Clifton village, which is so pretty. It gave me seaside town vibes, although that was probably the misty weather and family times in addition to the quaint shop fronts. I don’t very often go up to Clifton but it was a lovely day out in Bristol.
