This week is a very special pretty halloween day of the dead sugar skull make up DIY Tutorial for you. I have teamed up with specialist MUA Grace Kingsley of The Kingsley Academy to show you just how to create your Sugar Skull make up.
We first saw grace and her team in action at the Weird and Wonderful Wedding World where she created fantastic day of the dead make up for the Beyond Burlesque bridal collection at the time, she has now taken the reigns in organising the entire show!
We met up at Graces salon last week to film a video tutorial which involves me sitting to have my make up done whilst Grace talks us through everything step by step! I took some photos too! So here’s what you’ll need:
Use a white face paint to cover the face, repeat twice. Set with a translucent powder when dry.
Draw your eye holes using a fine brush and smudge in from the edges. Then blend in a colour as you wish around your eye lids.
Apply eyeliner to define your eyes. Add the petals around the edge of the circle.
Add in your details, the hollow cheeks, your hollow nose and any other swirls.
Put an amazing flower crown on!
