Last week, I met up with Lily and Victoria for a cheeky evening of cocktails and food at Cabot Circus for their Summer Dine Event which we were kindly invited to. There’s a tone of offers on Cabot Circus’ new PLUS app, but particularly there’s lots of great offers on food and drink. The app is available on Android phones and should be available on iTunes within a few weeks. If you don’t have an android phone, then you can download all the offers and print them out here.
Our first port of call was cocktails in Coal, unfortunately we were all driving but they had 2-4-1 offer on the cocktails so we tried a few of them between us, Victoria even gave her free one away as an act of kindness. I also went for a Mocktail, which I’ve never had before and was lush. We also enjoyed some starters in Coal, some lovely flat bread and some olives (which we probably needed to soak up the cocktail!) before moving on to our next stop.
Round two was my fav, we went to TGI Friday’s. I have a very vague recollection of going to a TGI’s when I was very little in London once, but I really don’t remember much about it and I’ve not been since, which is now set to change. OH THE MEAT!!!! AAAALLLLLLLL THE MEAT!!! We couldn’t believe how much meat was presented to us on arrival, Lily was in heaven, I mean we all were but Lily particularly loves her beef! (I think this photo says it all!) We sampled some of their new menu, which is being rolled out in Bristol before the rest of the TGI stores and I would totally recommend it. The 30oz steak on the bone was delicious, Lily tried and failed to eat the whole thing to herself, although the waiter did say it has been done. The sticky chicken wings were my fav, oh and the duck salad, I’m much prefer eating some bird meat than the cows. But either way, what ever your preference, TGI’s has it down, totally nailed it. And their cocktails weren’t half bad either.
For dessert we meandered around the corner to Brasserie Blanc, which to be honest felt way too posh for me after being such cannibals in TGIs. Particularly since I’d rushed down straight from a shift at the pub so I wasn’t feeling on top form. However, the dessert was SO good! I went for the chocolate soufflé and it was melt in your mouth good. I had such a lovely evening with the girls eating so much food. I love hanging out with fellow bloggers when food and drink is involved, they totally get that you can’t eat it before you’ve taken a photo of it!
Don’t forget to take advantage of the offers available, and you can download them again here.
I also made a little Vlog if you’d like to see what we got up to!
