This morning I got up as normal to head out to shoot this outfit post for you today. I met up with Lyzi this week, it’s so much more fun and easier to shoot outfit photos with fellow bloggers. Lyzi wanted to go somewhere colourful so we headed down to hotwells for my fav selection of coloured bollards under the fly over.

Unfortunately, shortly after I got back, I had to jump back in the car and head down to Bournemouth to look after grandma. She’s ok but did have a bad fall on to the bus and her face looks like she’d been beaten black and blue, poor thing.

Although we were hoping the morning would have been much like the recent fresh spring weather, our typically british weather decided it was going to be freezing while we were taking photos, but as soon as Bournemouth heard I was coming, it sent the sunshine to make it a lovely drive down.

I’ll be camping out here for the next few days making sure Grandma doesn’t get in to any more trouble!

OMG! The outside world does actually exist!? Today I ventured out the house to shoot an outfit post out doors for the first time this year. I met up with Lucy for coffee and to see her new house in St Werburghs, and this is what I wore. It’s an area of Bristol I’ve not spent much time, and one that’s pretty colourful in many ways, and particularly has some great graffitied walls. I’ve wanted to shoot an outfit post over there for ages, keeping things colourful as always!

I had a lovely time catching up with Lucy, talking about all kinds of things. I haven’t seen her for a while so it was so good to catch up on everything. We had a little wander around St Werbs, it’s smaller than I thought but SO typically Bristol, I’ll definitely be making more time to explore over there.

WHAT I WORE

Denim Dress – BooHoo.com SS14
Cardigan – Vintage
Boots – Dr Martens (via Ebay!)
Bag – Unknown (similar)
Hair Tie – Loot Vintage

This week we have been teased a little and been given a small taster of spring sunshine. It happens EVERY year, at the end of every season when I long for the next. I am SO done with the dull winter now and I am so ready to fill my life with colour, light and happiness again. I can already feel my winter mood lifting.

In today’s outfit post I’m rocking some pastel spring basics, keeping things simple yet colourful. Since I’ve rearranged my wardrobe/studio, I’ve discovered lots of items of clothing that I’d kind of forgotten about and I am trying to introduce reintroduce my summer items back to life.

WHAT I WORE

Basic White Polo Neck – ASOS

High Waisted Mint Trousers – Primark SS15

Pleather Jacket – Primark AW14

Boots – Carboot

Over the weekend, we got dressed up and headed to Stokes Croft for a night on the town, this is what I wore! It seemed only right to wear my new mermaid tshirt which is made in Stokes Croft itself from House of Junk. I’ve been wanting to be brave enough to A) have the confidence to wear this skin tight pleather pencil skirt and B) get my legs out in this freezing weather! I added said confidence with an oversized cardigan to hide under when needed.

Which turned out to be pretty lucky, since it was a late starting party (in the basement of a charity shop!) we went to Meat Liquor for some dinner first. I’ve not been in before and every where was busy as we left it last minute and didn’t book. Meat Liquor, although had a long wait on tables, managed to seat us at the bar tables in the window. We started the night off with some delicious cocktails and filled our boots with deep fried mac n cheese and dirty chilli chips (too spicy for me!) before heading on to the party. A pencil skirt wasn’t the best option to wear to eat all the meat, but hey ho, I still felt strangely confident in it. Although the cardigan never came off all night, mostly because it was too damn cold!

What I Wore

Mermaid Tshirt – House of Junk

Pleather Skirt – eBay

Pink Dr Martens – eBay

Cardigan & Handbag – Charity Shop / Carboot
