Good morning beaut! How are you this gloomy Monday morning? I decided not to venture out to the shed office this morning but, instead sort my desk out in the lounge. It’s amazing what a difference in productivity, working from a desk has. This weekend I have been inspired to add some stylish colourful decor around the house, across various rooms, but mostly on the new dining room.
I decided, as usual, to have a lazy Saturday morning watching my fav youtube channels. I have recently discovered Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart and they’re totes hilair, I’m totally hooked. I’m actually really enjoying discovering you tubers that are more my age, I’m finding I can relate much more to them and I feel like they are more accepting of themselves and not trying to be cookie cutter moulds of every other youtuber of the same age.
Once I finally decided to get off my bum and get dressed, I did my usual haul at the carboot. I was concentrating on finding things to help decorate our home. I was on the hunt for more copper pots to plant succulents in to add so greenery to our home. I love the modern metallics trend right now. I had fun planting them up when I got back, and decided to paint some of dining room chairs to the new colour scheme. There’s still a lot of work to do but it’s nice to start stamping my vision of colour and industrial metallics over the space.
That evening I headed over to spend some overdue time with Megan in Bath, who I haven’t seen in ages. It’s really been too long. I can’t tell you how good it feels to hang out with a fellow creative blogger, there is always so much to talk about and I am sure we barely took a breath, aside from to eat our thai take out! We filmed Youtube videos, put on face masks, drank wine, created SIMs characters (and Megan tried to introduce me to the SIMs world!) and we chatted about life and blogging until 3am.
I was feeling a little worse for wear yesterday morning so I decided to have a day of chilling out. I edited vlogs, watched Tammy (which is brilliant btw, particularly if you have a fab relationship with your grandma, it’s heartwarming and funny and worth a watch) had a BBQ and chilled out with friends in the garden.
I’m attempting to try and vlog through august, I like to call it Vlaugust! So if you’d like to see more of what I got up to over the weekend, sit back, grab a cuppa and click on the play button!
