Hey my lovelies! There’s been a lot going on around here recently, but so much so, I’ve not found the time to tell you about it. At the end of April, I’m giving up my part time job to finally go full time with my little creative world. I’m busy plotting and planning ways in which I’m going to spend my extra time. One of those elements is telling you more about the branding gossip and private design work I’ve been working on behind the scenes, and also working on my design shop. I’ve built it up slowly over the last year but I will finally have the time to make it exactly what I want it to be. If you’re looking for a similar style of design, there’s a new Logo Triplet Set live in the shop now.
I will finally have more time to take on more design clients, but for now I wanted to showcase Curious Coco. Most of my design clients come meeting creative people from other work I do for Mermaid Gossip. I recently modelled for the launch photoshoot for Curious Coco and loved their style so much, it felt like such a good partnership to help them set up their new branding and logo design for them to launch their new collection.
Specialising in alternative custom made bridesmaids wear, Curious Coco know that every bridesmaid is as individual as the bride herself. With a range of different fabrics, prints, colours and styles for you to choose from, you can ensure that every garment is as unique as the person wearing it. So you can see just why it’s totally up my street!
Curious Coco is the little sister company of The Couture Co. and Jo and Yasmin wanted a nod to the bridal company but to give it it’s own unique brand. It was clear from the photoshoot they’d produced, that they were a fan of colour. The design process always starts with a pinterest board full of aesthetic ideas. When the team sent it over, it was absolutely the epitome of what I had in mind for them. I took inspiration from the cardboard heads that Yasmin had created and after a few revisions of ideas, they went for this colourful geometric design.
I absolutely love both Curious Coco’s bridesmaid dresses and The Couture Co. bridal range in these shots. So much so I couldn’t wait to get back in to the pink spotty dress recently at the EWE wedding fair I attended with The Gossip Booth. I secretly wish I hadn’t already order my own wedding dress so I could have this one. But it’s always fun to prance around in pretty dresses all day!
