Good Morning you lovely lot! How are you? I hope you’re Monday is going well so far! You may, or may not, have noticed it was a little quiet over here last week. I took a break from blogging to enjoy a week off with my family. After plans to go to France fell through, we decided to enjoy a staycation instead. My two brothers and their girlfriends came to stay with us in Bristol for one half of the week, and the other half we all went down to Bournemouth to see my mum and grandma.
I have to say, it was pretty hard in the first half of the week to feel like I was actually on holiday. Although I resisted the urge to pick up my laptop, my mind was still very conscious of the work that I could have been doing. Brad found it difficult too, but he finds it hard to sit still at the best of times and by day 3 he was pottering around in his workshop, and cleaning the car! It wasn’t until I got down to Bournemouth on Thursday that I could really shut my mind off from work all together.
None the less, we had a lovely time. It’s not very often my brothers and I get to spend a whole week together, unless it’s christmas so it was nice just to catch up with them properly. Whilst we were in Bristol, we spent the day at the Portishead Lido, we went to Jamie’s Italian, we explored Bristol harbour, we BBQ’d all week and sat in our garden for 80% of the time we were home, regardless of the weather.
Whilst in Bournemouth, I managed to get a last minute appointment to finally get some more work done on my tattoo sleeve with Luc from Scribe, we walked along the beach, we went to the Wheels Festival, we ate fish and chips, we played cards and we enjoyed spending time with mum and grandma.
It has been a really nice week off, but I am a little pleased to be home in my own bed with a bit of peace and quiet! I have a busy week lined up too, tomorrow I am working on something pretty exciting which I’m not allowed to tell you any details on for a while but watch this space! Have a wonderful week lovers.
